Every step a vibrant story

Our aim is to make dance accessible to all - from watching a story unfold on stage, to learning dance, and professional ballet training. We aim to reach far and wide with events, and to take you beyond the stage immersing you in the stories that move you.

Together we raised an incredible $1,200,752 for Queensland Ballet Academy.

The Ballet Boys Project

The Ballet Boys Project

Queensland Ballet is taking the global decline of boys in ballet and dance very seriously and is committed to changing this downward trend and addressing what is potentially a sustainability issue for our artform.

As the first part of The Ballet Boys Project, we are thrilled to offer free weekly classes to boys aged 11 – 14, throughout term 3 (8 July – 9 September) and term 4 (30 September – 2nd December). New students can join anytime.

Pointe Shoe Appeal

Pointe Shoe Appeal

Did you know that a pair of pointe shoes can sometimes last for only one major performance? Despite their short life, pointe shoes and flats are vital for the success of our artists.

By supporting our Pointe Shoe Appeal, you’re enabling our dancers to reach their individual artistic heights.

Meet our Principal Artist, Alexander Idaszak

Alexander is the most recent dancer to join the rank of Principal Artist, being promoted in 2023. He's come a long way since joining Queensland Ballet as a Company Dancer in January 2013.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
