Audio Described Performances

Our Audio Described performances offer patrons who are blind or low vision an understanding of what is happening visually on stage to complement their theatre experience.

Audio-Described performances

Please contact QPAC group sales on 07 3840 7466 or groups@qpac.com.au to arrange these services.

Delivered in partnership with Vision Australia, trained Audio Describers provide concise descriptions of the transitions, movements, gestures, expressions, props, costumes and scenery woven throughout our ballets.

The description is transmitted via an earpiece, enabling patrons wishing to receive the Audio Description service to book seats in any area of the theatre (subject to availability).

Beyond the stage

Take a class on the main stage, enjoy a special pre-performance workshop or take a look behind the scenes.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
