Joseph Stewart A.R.A.D is an Australian multidisciplinary artist practicing across Teaching Artistry, choreography and performance.

He graduated as Most Outstanding Dancer from the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and was a Queensland Ballet Company Artist under directorship of François Klaus and Li Cunxin AO.

Internationally, Joseph was in the German cast of Andrew Lloyd Webbers’ Phantom Of The Opera and Guest Artist with Oper Halle. He recently performed in Belinda Locke’s Under My Tongue (NextWave Festival).

As a choreographer, he has created work for Queensland Ballet, Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater and created numerous site specific works for KunstHaus, Berlin. In 2012, his Australian production of Sweet Meniscus (Anywhere Theatre Festival) was recognised as Best New Work by Dance Australia.

A passionate advocate for the joy dance can bring for all, his ballet class for older adults has over 30K views on YouTube. Believing dance is a fundamental part of the human experience, he invites everyone to discover the joy and benefits it brings through his classes.
