Introducing Edison

Born in Brisbane, Edison began dancing at seven-years-old. In 2015, he began training with Queensland Ballet Academy in the Junior Program before moving on to the Senior Program and then completing his training with the Pre-Professional Program in 2021. Whilst training with the Academy, Edison had many amazing performance opportunities - his favourite being Intimate Dialogues where he performed the lead male. It allowed him to show vulnerability and emotion on stage whilst telling a story. Being a part of the creative process for such a young dancer was a memorable and inspiring experience.

What inspires you to dance?

Music is a big inspiration for me as it’s always around to set the mood, motivate me and has incredible potential to tell a story
