Judith Wright Arts Centre

Arrival and Check-in

Entrances to the Judith Wright Arts Centre are located on Brunswick St and Berwick St. Both entrances have lifts and are wheelchair accessible. The Box Office is located on Level 2R and the Performance Space is on Level 2.

Latecomer Policy 

Please note that there is a strict lock-out period for latecomers to all Queensland Ballet performances. 

Program  

Complimentary printed programs will be distributed at the theatre with information about the performance.

What to wear 

Smart casual dress is perfect. You may want to bring a light wrap or jacket, as the theatres are air conditioned.

During the Performance 

Please relax and enjoy the performance! Our dancers love to hear you respond and applaud as it lets them know you appreciate their artistry and are enjoying the production. 

Please remember to turn off all mobile phones and electronic devices before the performance begins. Please note photography and filming is not permitted during the performance. 

Judith Wright Arts Centre is open to the public in line with Queensland Government’s current COVID-19 restrictions.

Face masks are recommended inside the Centre at all times where social distancing is not possible. If in the previous fourteen days, any visitor has returned to Australia from overseas (other than a safe travel zone country); been in close contact with an active COVID-19 case; been in a Queensland declared COVID-19 hotspot, place of concern or exposure venue, as defined by the Chief Health Officer; had a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, distorted sense of taste, shortness of breath, chills, vomiting or any cold/flu like symptoms in the last 72 hours, you should not enter the premises.

Please remain seated after the performance and show your appreciation to the performers non-verbally i.e. by applause or stamping your feet.

Observe physical distancing and follow signage and staff directions regarding entry and exit procedures.

Parking

Visitors to the Judith Wright Arts Centre can find Secure Parking located at 388 Brunswick Street Car Park (entry via Berwick Street). Secure Parking is also available at Chinatown, McWhirters, and McLachlan & Ann Car Parks.

Public Transport

Fortitude Valley is well serviced by both bus and train networks.

Fortitude Valley Train Station is located beneath the Valley Metro complex. Pedestrian access to the station is via two thoroughfares near the corner of Brunswick and Wickham Streets and a pedestrian overpass connecting to McWhirters.

The 199, 196 and 195 buses all stop directly outside the Judith Wright Arts Centre.
